LG Starts Mobile Phone Production in Iran

According to Iranian Taliya News reports, LG commenced mobile phone production in Iran in February 2007. Via collaboration with its local partner Maadiran, LG's Iran production line is expected to turn out more than one million GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) mobile phones per year, targeting the Middle East market. Maadiran is reported to have fully funded the production line and have begun manufacturing five models under license from LG.
